What makes this story interesting is that Pine Point no longer exists. Created for a singular purpose, the small mining town lasted from 1964 to 1987. It was a place that only a handful of people called home. After the mine had closed, the town lost its purpose and soon followed suit.
Michael Simons and Paul Shoebridge, the duo known as the Goggles, recreate a beautifully nostalgic story of Pine Point through artifacts, the memories of former residents, and the use of mixed media. Part photo album, part film, and part book, the Goggles deliver a clever and heartwarming homage to Pine Point.
